Game of a billion, joyous heart and soul Need but a few friends, a bat and a ball Born in the cold, bitter foreign isle Thrived on Indian soil, warm and fertile Famed are the heroes, glorious it's lore Poet names a few but loves many more God's straight drive, comes to mind at first Second is defiant, Dada's flying shirt Jumbo's ten on ten and Yuvi's six on six Viru's triple tons or Bhajji's magic tricks Nothing speaks more of Cricket India's gall Walliantly unfazed, the great Indian "Wall"
I am not a poet. But these words came to me out of nowhere. I wrote them, read them and re-read them. Only one word could describe what I had written. Hence, they are my Poems.
